Vision & Mission

After the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, a great command and mission were given by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to his disciples before his ascension to Heavenly Father: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

Through generations in the past two thousand years, the Gospel of Salvation of Cross of Jesus Christ has been carried and preached by the Lord’s missionaries- the ambassadors of Faith, Hope and Love to every corner of the world. China is one of nations that was blessed by God and has received the Great News-the Gospel since the 19th century through the western missionaries’ endeavor works and sacrifices. Those missionaries, they answered God’s calling, they left everything behind, they stepped onto the mission trips and gave their lives to the Chinese people. Many of them never came back to their homeland again, they carried God’s Amazing Love and Amazing Grace to China and saved thousands of Chinese, and sown tremendous “Seed of Gospel” on the land of China. Missionary James Hudson Taylor was one of them who came from England to China in 1853, and worked in the mission field of China for over 51 years. They are heroes of Faith, they are the excellent examples of missionaries who carried out God’s Will and followed Jesus steps and worked with the Lord around the world.

In the past two centuries, the harvest of saving souls has kept going and growing in China. Over 100 million Chinese who were reached by missionaries and heard the Gospel of Salvation have become Christians and received born again new lives. The great vision and mission given by God are like beautiful flowers blooming in the vast land of China.

Earlier in the 20th century, the vision of BACK to JERUSALEM rooted in many Chinese Christians’ hearts. The mustard seeds of preaching the Gospel of Salvation of Cross of Jesus Christ from China to unreached people in the “10/40 Window of the Earth” where inhabited 90% of unreached people-who are atheists, Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus etc have been growing and growing. Following the steps of Jesus Christ and his first generation disciples, inspired and encouraged by the western missionaries who came to China since the 19th century from England and America, with the zeal and burdens for the Gospel, led by God’s pillars of fire and cloud, from the first group of 36 missionaries-the pioneers to nowadays hundreds and thousands, one group after another, the Chinese missionaries’ footprints have spread all over the countries within “10/40 windows of the Earth”.  The Vision and Mission are great, and the journey of Mission of BACK to JERUSALEM has begun since 1920.

The love to God and the love to the unsaved souls are the motivation and strength of Chinese missionaries in the field of BACK to JERUSALEM, and the LOVE of GOD gave them endurance, courage and trust to overcome all kinds of obstacles on the road. They are the salt of the earth and light of the world in the darkness, bringing hope to the lost and to the neighbors.

To date, the BACK to JERUALEM-the BTJ organization has set its mission headquarters in the U.S. and Europe, in the community of western nations. Moreover, in those countries, the BTJ has reached out to the local churches, organizations, and people who have hearts of sharing the Gospel to the world, united the community of Christianity, work and walk together to carry on the vision of “BACK to JERUSALEM”, to reach the unreached lost souls.

As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.” (Romans 10:15) To equip those who are answering the call from God, who are preparing to march on to mission fields, who are working in the mission fields, who are facing difficulties and sufferings during their labors in the fields, the BTJ organization provide all kinds of support and encouragement to back in-field missionaries’ needs.

In order to give better and more comprehensive supports to the outreach missionaries, under the vision of BTJ and the inspirational acts of Apostle Paul’s Tent business during his mission trips, the “Gospel Mission”-a Non-Profit Organization of California was born and established under the supervision of BTJ Organization.

“Gospel Mission” is a division of BTJ Organization, with same vision and same mission, its focusing is on missionary business creation, development and management. Through general business activities and services carry out by in-field missionaries to the communities among nations, sending out the core saving message and calling of God for mankind –the Gospel of Salvation of Cross of Jesus Christ is the Key Purpose of Gospel Mission Organization.  Its establishment will enhance BTJ Organization’s overall ability in the areas of generating mission funds, creating business platforms for in-field missionaries to establish their own businesses which could support their daily living needs and strengthen their hands and feet and families for the sake of “Gospel Outreach” under the diverse supports of Gospel Mission, training the missionaries both in spiritual realm and physical realm to be equipped well to encounter various of kinds of challenges from the secular world, building a healthy and strong community for the missionaries to help each other, to love each other and to have a big family for the missionaries to stay strong and steadfast in the faith.  

Gospel Mission Organization is welcoming all who want God’s Kingdom to expand to the nations and the hearts in the region of “10/40 Window of the Earth”, to those who are waiting earnestly for the Gospel Back to Jerusalem before the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. “The LORD is good to all; He has compassion on all he has made.” (Psalm 145:9) From the heart of Jerusalem to the sea of Galilee, from the Middle east to Europe, from the Western nations to China and Asia---, from the city Bethlehem to all the ends of the world, the Gospel of Cross of Jesus Christ has unceasingly brought the eternal Faith and Hope and Life and Path and Truth to the entire Earth, the Love of God and His Wonderful Light are dwelling and shining in the hearts of His earthly children in whom the Gospel have reached. As Gospel Mission, we believe that the Divine Plans of God will finally bring the Gospel of Salvation back to the GREAT CITY OF THE KING-the JERUSALEM.

Inspirational Movement in New Era

China is a country with vast territory and large population. In the beginning of the 19th century, the door of China was closed to the foreign countries and foreigners. However, answering God’s calling, driven by the Love of God, clothed with faith and hope, many western missionaries risked their lives to come to China one after another by different ways and identities and professions---, set feet on this completely unfamiliar nation, an amazing land but a nation where the Gospel had not been reached, and the nation was under a restrictive authority of Qing Dynasty government.

Love never fails. Led by God, through providing medical service and aid, through education, through business trading, through community rescue works in the face of disaster and trouble---, the western missionaries gradually and finally reached the hearts of thousands and thousands Chinese by their loving activities and helping hands. The Gospel spread widely and wildly in China. The BTJ and its division-Gospel Mission are the wonderful and beautiful fruits of the Holy Spirit, who are carrying on the earlier western missionaries’ dream for China, spreading and sowing the mustard seeds of the Gospel to the “10/40 window of the Earth” in wisdom through different means.

Even though the Gospel of Salvation of the Cross has been preached to nations over two thousand years throughout generations, the great mission is still facing tremendous challenges and oppositions in this modern era due to religious stronghold in those nations dominated by atheists, traditional religions, such as Buddhists, Muslims, and Hindus etc. To overcome the existing challenges and oppositions in different counties and regions, we need more wisdom and strength from above. Through long time prayers and plans, through the leading from God, Gospel Mission’s ideas of Business Mission have been created by BTJ’s Organization leaders who received vision from Chinese pioneers of 1920, and it will be an inspirational movement in the new era for worldwide missionaries to reach the unreached regions and nations and people, to fulfill the Great Mission given by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

“I run in the path of your commands, for you have set my heart free.” (Psalm 119:32). May more and more missionaries rise up and run into the harvest fields in the world to spread the Gospel of Salvation of Jesus Christ and to bring the lost souls home. It is harvest time, let’s run, run, run!

May God’s Will be done on earth as it is in heaven!

Answering the Call

Lord Jesus said to the disciples in Matthew 9:37: “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

Not only have BTJ organization and Chinese missionaries answered Lord’s call, but also they have encouraged and trained many missionaries from different nations to run into the Lord’s harvest field since year 2000.

Dear Friends, if your heart is touched and moved by an inner voice from the Holy Spirit, and is considering becoming a Christian missionary, we are here to help you. From your decision of answering God’s call-become a missionary to “Stepping onto the Journey” is a tremendous action of Faith. Since the basic challenges of life on the earth cannot be voided and ignored, your devotion in-field as a committed missionary can be arranged as part time heavenly worker or full time depends on your availability. Lord Jesus said in Matthew 18:19 “I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.”

Gospel Mission started from prayers, and carried on by prayers.

Dear missionaries, brothers and sisters in the Lord, we believe that the future path will be led by prayer and faith, the more we pray, the more we harvest. The Community of Devoted Missionary will be built up, like our home on the earth, like a garden of saved souls, like the altar in the harvest field.

The Community of Devoted Missionary will be composed of small, medium and large groups. Praying, sharing, caring, helping and love among our community will be the center of our worship to God. Let our praise reach to heaven, the Glorious Throne of God!

Lord Jesus said in Matthew 25:21 to those who follow God’s Will and accomplished works that God commanded: “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!”

Oh, what a joyful moment!

Dear faithful missionaries, brothers and sisters in the Lord, this is the ultimate joyful moment when we finish the works in the harvest field worldwide and are embraced by our loving God and receive His heavenward marvelous rewards! This is the ultimate celebrating moment when we sing and dance in the heavenly graduation ceremony and see God’s smile face to face! The King of kings and the Lord of lords is with us, it’s time to declare the victory:
